Terra Lumbar—1L
Lumbar Pack · Run / Hike / Travel / Daily / Festival

Your perfect minimalistic companion, the Terra Lumbar—1L can carry the essentials whether you're hiking or living your daily life. With a water-repellent finish, fully recycled ripstop shell fabric, and a bungee system for additional storage, it delivers ultimate on-the-go convenience. The 1-liter capacity is the smallest in the Terra lineup — sized for the must-haves (phone, keys, card, lip balm, a small snack) without the bulk of a larger pack. Ultralight at 4.23 oz, the lumbar sits flat against the lower back and rides comfortably under a pack's hipbelt or on its own for a run, a hike, or a long day of errands.

Main Compartment with Key Clip
Zippered main compartment has a secure-zip mesh pocket with a key clip — the main compartment swallows the daily essentials (phone, wallet, a small snack, a folded shopping bag) and the internal mesh pocket holds the small stuff where it can be seen. The key clip on the inside keeps the keys from migrating to the bottom of the bag where they scratch the screen of the phone. A small detail that's the difference between a usable lumbar and a black hole.
External Secure-Zip Pocket
External, secure-zip pocket for quick access — sized for a phone, a card, a transit pass, or a set of keys. The external placement means the most-accessed item is on the hip rather than buried in the main compartment, and the secure-zip closure keeps the contents from falling out when sitting down, leaning forward, or running. A small detail that makes the lumbar usable for high-output activities.
Adjustable Webbing Strap
Adjustable webbing waist strap tunes the fit in small increments for layering — short for a high-ride over a winter coat, longer for a low-ride over a summer tee. The webbing is wide enough to distribute the small load evenly across the lower back without binding, and the adjustment slider holds its position through a full day of wear. Wear it around the waist for a fanny-pack carry, or shift it slightly to the side for a cross-body sling.
External Bungee System
External bungee can hold a rain jacket or similar bulky item — the bungee cord on the outside of the pack gives the lumbar expandable storage for the items that don't fit inside the 1L main compartment. A folded rain shell, a pair of liner gloves, a beanie, a small towel — anything that can be cinched under the bungee rides outside the bag without taking up interior space. The bungee also works as a quick-grab for a layer that needs to come off fast.
Reflective Webbing
Reflective webbing on the strap and the bungee — keep the wearer seen on early-morning runs, dusk commutes, and bike rides home after sunset. The reflective material is bonded to the webbing rather than printed on top, so the reflectivity doesn't wash out over time. Subtle enough to disappear in daylight, bright enough to catch headlights at night. A small safety detail on a daily-driver lumbar.

Sustainability

Recycled Content
Front and back body fabrics made with recycled materials
Finish
Non-PFC DWR (no perfluorinated chemicals)
Spot Clean
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For scuffs on the 210D ripstop front, use a soft brush and a mild detergent solution, then wipe with a clean damp cloth. The PU coating, the DWR finish, and the 600D back panel are all designed to be wiped down — there's no need to launder the bag the way you would a soft pouch. Spot cleaning is the right call for daily wear.
Hand Wash
For deeper cleaning, hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. The machine agitation will damage the PU coating, the DWR finish, the bungee system, and the reflective webbing. The lumbar is built like a technical pack, not like a soft pouch, and should be cleaned like one. A quick rinse in a sink handles most of what the lumbar sees.
Air Dry
Air dry completely with all compartments unzipped and open. Hang it on a hook or lay it flat in a well-ventilated area. Do not put in the dryer. Do not iron. High heat delaminates the PU coating, melts the reflective webbing, and degrades the DWR finish. The lightweight construction dries quickly — typically overnight when the interior is damp.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place. Keep the waist strap unbuckled to avoid stress on the webbing. Hang it on a hook by the strap loop, or lay it flat. Avoid leaving the lumbar compressed under heavy gear for extended periods — the 210D ripstop and 600D back are tough, but they hold their shape best when stored loosely. The bungee system is light enough to lose elasticity if left stretched for months at a time.
Zipper Care
Lubricate the main compartment zipper and the external secure-zip pocket zipper periodically with a silicone-based zipper lubricant. Avoid getting sand, salt, or grit in the teeth. If a zipper sticks, work it open and closed gently rather than forcing it. The zippers are repairable if treated kindly — a small detail that keeps the lumbar functional through years of daily wear.
Restore DWR
When the ripstop body starts to absorb water instead of repelling it, re-treat with a spray-on DWR designed for technical outerwear. Reactivating the finish every 6-12 months keeps the lumbar handling light rain, snow flurries, and trail mist without soaking through. The non-PFC finish means standard household waterproofing sprays work — no need for a fluorocarbon-based product. The PU coating on the back panel doesn't need re-treatment.
